I wanted to take a minute to tell you both how much Jane and I appreciate the time and effort you put into our solar installation. It was wonderful of you to go the extra mile to make the installation as unobtrusive as possible, even down to the detail of painting the conduit to match our house. Your team showed a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction that is rare these days. We’re very pleased with the entire project and rest easy knowing that we’ve done a good thing for the environment and also practically eliminated our monthly electric bill. We’ll gladly serve as reference customers for you guys any time.

Residential Solar in Denver and Southern Colorado

Now Is the Time to Go Solar

Power company and state rebate programs, plus a huge federal tax credit, make photovoltaic systems very affordable. We can carry the rebate, allowing your out of pocket cost to be about 40% of the total system price. This rebate is not considered taxable income for homeowners.

The federal tax credit was capped during 2008 at $2,000 for residential installations. But starting January 1, 2009 the cap was removed, making the tax credit 30% of the after-rebate cost. Unlike in the past, you can use this tax credit to get out of the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT). You can carry the tax credit forward up to two years if you can't use it all in the year your system goes online.

We will design a system to fit your needs, site and budget. The three primary factors are your available space with sufficient solar access, your budget and your goal.

Ask for a sample system quote. Once we measure and inspect your home we can finalize your own system quote. The visit, design and quotation are done with no obligation to you.

Ask about our partnerships with local banks for a low interest loan for your solar array.

Photovoltaic Systems Save You Money

Your new PV system pays off financially, plus will help the planet we all share. Due to lower solar panel prices this year and the incentives your system will pay for itself in about eight years. System payback varies with the size, panel tilt to the Southern horizon, and your annual solar access. The average system reduces emissions by 18,000 pounds of carbon dioxide per year. We can add a KVAR Energy Controller to reduce your usage so you need fewer solar panels, saving you money right away.

Get the Information With No Obligation

Vibrant Solar's experts will do a complete solar site analysis and prepare both your design and quotation. You will receive a quote detailing costs and charting your system's output, per the National Renewable Energy Laboratory's statistics on weather patterns in your area. It includes a projection of your savings in both dollars and carbon dioxide emissions. It will even show a projected increase in your home's value. Your solar PV panels will yield savings for more than 50 years.

With a photovoltaic (PV) system you are selling the electricity you generate directly to your energy company through the same meter you use to buy from the grid. They purchase what you produce for the same price they charge you. Produce the same as you use and you zero out your bill. Unless your grid connection is intermittent or you are off grid here is no need for a backup battery system, which can be expensive.

We can mount systems on the ground, roof, or building sides. From dual axis tracker systems which follow the sun's arc to window awnings, patio structures, and car canopies we can install at nearly any location with sufficient year round sunlight. Our solar consultants will analyze your site and take solar access measurements. Our LEED Accredited Designer will optimize your system. We will work with you for preferences and help determine your electricity usage. Then we will produce a custom quote and design, all before you have to make a final decision to go solar.

We Do It All

When you order your system from Vibrant Solar, we will do all the work for you. We secure the necessary permits, handle the engineering, installation and inspection. Our structural engineer will inspect your roof. If you need roof repairs our co-owner, general contractor Beneficial Home, can take care of it. If you need electrical work our certified electrician ESP Electric can do it. We will process all the paperwork with the energy company or the state and track your rebate. From start to finish, we will make the process easy and painless.

Add Geothermal for Heating & Cooling

Our geothermal partner will drill holes up to 400 feet deep, or a scrape a horizontal area about eight feet deep if there is sufficient area, install coils and other equipment, and bring up the year round 55 degree temperature. Geothermal systems provide all the heating and cooling for your building, covering up to 100% of your needs. System costs run about $25,000 to $30,000 for an average home system, though on a large home they can cost much more. The key is to get the right size system to eliminate all other heating and cooling needs.

On new home construction with our Zero Carbon System™ your geothermal system can cost as little as $18,000. A 30% federal tax credit is available for homes, 10% for commercial buildings. These systems also pay for themselves quickly.

Heat Water with Solar Thermal

Thin panels containing tubing are installed, usually on the roof. During the day when the panels are heating the water it is pumped up, through, and down to a tank below the panels. Hours after the sun goes down, when the tank drops below 130º, the system automatically reverts to your gas heated tank, keeping the water hot until morning. You can get a domestic hot water system for about $9,500 or a full home heating system for about $25,000. The 30% federal tax credit is available, and these systems also pay for themselves quickly.

On new home construction with our Zero Carbon System™ your solar thermal thermal system for domestic hot water can cost as little as $9,000.
